Delete your account

You can permanently delete your Stew account at any time from inside the app.

How to delete your account

    Open Settings

    Tap the Settings tab in the bottom navigation bar.

    Tap Your Account

    Select "Your Account" at the top of the Settings screen.

    Tap Delete Account

    Scroll to the bottom and tap "Delete Account" in the Danger Zone section.

    Confirm

    Type your confirmation when prompted. This action is permanent and cannot be undone.

What happens when you delete

  • ✕Your account, email address and profile are permanently removed
  • ✕All recipes, meal plans and shopping list items you created are deleted
  • ✕Your votes and activity history are removed
  • ✕Your device push notification tokens are revoked
  • ✕You are removed from any family you belong to
  • ✕Your data is fully erased from our systems within 30 days

Family admin?

If you are the sole admin of a family, you must either promote another member to admin or remove all other members before you can delete your account. This prevents families from being left without an admin.
