Common questions

Creating a family
Open Stew and go to Settings → Family. Tap "Create a family", give it a name, and you're set. Share your invite link or QR code with family members to bring them in.
Joining a family
Ask your family admin for the invite link or QR code. Tap the link (or scan the QR code inside the app) and confirm the join request. Admins will be notified to approve.
Importing a recipe from a website
In the Recipes tab, tap + then "Import from URL". Paste the link to any recipe page. Stew will extract the title, ingredients, method and timings. You can edit anything before saving.
Syncing the shopping list with the meal plan
Go to the Shopping list tab and tap "Sync with meal plan". Stew will add all ingredients from this week's planned meals. Existing items are updated rather than duplicated.
Notifications not arriving
Go to Settings → Notifications and check your preferences. Make sure your device's notification permission is enabled for Stew in your iPhone Settings → Notifications → Stew.
Changing your email or password
Go to Settings → Your Account → Change Email or Change Password. You'll need your current password to make either change.
Deleting your account
Go to Settings → Your Account → Delete Account. You'll be asked to confirm. Your data will be permanently removed within 30 days. If you are the only admin of a family, you must remove all other members or transfer admin before deleting.
The planner or shopping list is out of sync
Pull down to refresh on the planner or shopping list screen. If the issue persists, sign out and back in from Settings → Your Account.
